Paul Mooney

Paul Mooney is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Decentralized Inc. Since 2012 Paul has been selling residential solar systems to customers in New Mexico and Southern Colorado. Prior to selling solar systems Paul was a green builder in the East Mountains of Albuquerque building custom energy efficient homes and representing Polysteel insulated concrete forms as the New Mexico distributor.  Before moving to New Mexico in 2005 Paul lived on Jekyll Island Georgia where he distributed hurricane rated roofing, windows, doors and shutters on the 14 barrier islands between Florida and South Carolina. From 1994 to 2001 Paul was a telecom sales manager in Silicon Valley and Atlanta working in start-up companies pioneering first generation Internet products and services. During this period Paul and Co-Founder Lane Fowler met and worked together at a company that partnered with Independent Local Exchange Carriers and Electric Member Cooperatives to deliver dial-up Internet services to their rural customers. After moving West in the early 1980’s Paul distributed capital measuring and pulling equipment to the body-shop industry in California, Arizona and Nevada.  The confluence of disruptive innovation technology, sales and distribution have been the common denominators in Paul’s life for almost 40 years in business. Originally from Boston, Paul has lived and worked on both the East and West coasts and the mountain west served territories both regionally and nationally. Currently Paul and his wife Irene live in the East Mountains of Albuquerque New Mexico. He is very concerned with the escalating threat of climate change and is dedicated to finding ways to mitigate its most disastrous effects and their life threatening consequences.
