Exterior Finishes on ICF Walls

ICF exterior surfaces are ideal for stucco. ICF structures are stable without the expansion and contraction common in wooden structures. This reduced the need for expensive more flexible synthetic stucco products.

ICF structures have 1-5/8 thick plastic vertical strips every six inches that are used for attachment. This includes drywall, stone or paneling on the interior and synthetic, stone, shell or wood siding on the exterior. Installing interior and exterior finishes is another opportunity for local labor that can be recruited, trained and deployed to help the community recover.
