An ICF Foundation Project
Here is another ICF project from the this old house. This project is using Nudura which is another top of the line ICF manufacturer. You will see variations from the previous ICF project video but the process is essentially the same. The foundation wall on this house use a very wide version of forms. They look like 8″ to 10″ concrete forms to me and come in 8 ft lengths with a design that hinges open to reduce the amount of dead airspace in a truck when the product is being shipped. Some manufacturers have removable plastic ties that are installed at the site. Eventually the wall are in place and concrete is poured and the end result is a hurricane survivable, energy efficient ICF structure.
